Road of Wattles is a plein air painting, created in the winter of 2007, but late in the flowering season, as the wattle begins to fade. Here Cherry applies her trademark style of free brush strokes but chooses a palette of softer tones including pinks and lilac to compliment the changing paler, yellow of the wattle.
